This Pottery Barn Advent Calendar Dupe is such an easy project that leaves you with a customizable countdown for a lot less than the original.
I love a good dupe. I am always finding inspiration for projects when I browse stores in person and online.
Not only is a good dupe fun, but I love creating Advent calendars every year around the holidays.
This Pottery Barn Advent Calendar Dupe was easy to make and can be customized in so many ways. We have made so many Advent calendars over the years so if you are looking for even more calendar ideas, I will link them at the end of this post.
When I was cleaning out my office for our fall yard sale, I came across this piece I bought at a yard sale for 25¢.
Of course, I didn’t have plans for this board when I bought it, but I couldn’t pass it up for a quarter.
When I found it in my closet, it was next to the metal numbers I picked up at a yard sale. It was like they were in the closet together to make me think of an Advent Calendar. 🙂 The planning started and it turned out beautifully.
I made a Fabric Advent Calendar from my latest curbside rescue!
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I found a beautiful old mirror and this frame on the curb. I didn’t have a plan for the frame until I started thinking about an Advent calendar. I wasn’t planning on making one this year, but my creative juices started flowing and I knew I could make this curbside frame a DIY Advent calendar in no time.
This year, I was inspired to make a new one. I love finding new ways to create Advent calendars. This DIY Rustic Advent Calendar came together very easily with found items and a little DIY.
I was inspired to make this Advent calendar with a box of goodies I bought at a church sale. This box of place card holders was 25¢. I couldn’t pass it up. I didn’t know what I was going to do with them when I bought them but once I started brainstorming new Advent calendar ideas, I knew exactly what they would become.
A homemade Advent calendar is a tradition in our home. When I was growing up, we always had an Advent calendar. It was one of my favorite things about the Christmas season. Our calendar was usually a paper house of some sort and all we did was lift a flap on the house each day to reveal a number. Nothing extravagant, but I loved it! When we had our kids, I wanted them to have Advent calendar experiences of their own.
This year, our Advent calendar is homemade. I used items that I picked up at yard sales this past summer.
I hope one or more of these DIY Advent calendars inspires you to create one for your family this year. They can be customized in so many ways to fit your family and your style.
If you do make one, I would love to see it! Post a photo on Instagram and tag me @mycreativedays so I am sure to see it!
