4 Mins read

If you’re planning a home refresh in 2026, ditch the guesswork. Instead of vague color families like “greens” or “neutrals,” I wanted to share specific colors that are trending paint colors for 2026. These shades come from major paint manufacturers’ official Color of the Year announcements and industry trend forecasts. I am usually not excited about the colors of the year, but this list is so good this year. When you are thinking about trending colors, don’t just think about wall colors. These colors can be used in all sorts of ways in spaces in your home: art, pillows, throws, accent walls, furniture, etc.

Here’s your curated list of trending paint colors of 2026, what makes them special, and how to use them in your home:

GREEN

If you have spent any time here, you know that green is my favorite! All shades of green are trending for this year. A few years ago, we gave Landen’s room a makeover and added a rich green color to his walls, and I still love it to this day! Find all the information in the makeover HERE

I think adding a pop of green to any room is a good idea. If you don’t want to add the color to an entire wall, paint a piece of furniture in an olive color or add some throw pillows in a deep jade hue.

A specific trending green color this year is from Valspar. It is Warm Eucalyptus (8004-28F). It is best used in bedrooms and bathrooms, home offices, and entryways. This shade fits the nature-inspired tones that feel peaceful and grounded rather than cool and stark.

WARM EARTH TONES

This one makes me equally as happy. For this one, think greige, taupe, and creamy beige. These colors are so good for the walls in a home. It is important that you try different hues out on your walls and see how they look during different parts of the day. Trust me. We have a color on all the walls in our home that looks great. I decided to put that same color on the walls in one of our flip houses, and the walls looked pink. TEST THE COLORS OUT BEFORE YOU COMMIT.

A specific color for this shade is Sherwin-Williams, Universal Khaki (SW 6150). It is trending because it is a warm, neutral contrast to the grays of the past. This kind of color works in any room.

I love a neutral space, but a lot of people think earth tones do not have to be “beige-ville”. Think beyond beige for this one. Think rust tones and terracotta colors. Those are also trending for this year and are so beautiful in any space. Again, you could add the beige colors to the walls and introduce a bolder terracotta in the throw blankets and pillows.

BLUES

Blues remain a favorite for creating calm, stylish interiors. A deep blue or teal adds richness with a modern edge. Whereas a dusty or muted blue is perfect for spaces. Muted blues are so great to add in smaller touches in a room. Some of my favorite blue paint colors are in these makeovers I have done HERE

CHARCOAL

This is an exciting one. I love a good charcoal color, and a specific color that is a trending paint color for 2026 is Benjamin Moore’s “Silhouette” (AF-655). Charcoal is one of those colors that is so great to add to a piece of furniture or to an office. It is a strong color that makes a statement no matter how it is used.

I love this year’s color selection. They are colors that will hold up for years to come. I usually don’t like “trendy” things because they go out of style so fast. The trending paint colors for 2026 are here to stay and will hold up for years to come. Which color is your favorite?

Want to Flip Furniture with Confidence?

What started for me out of necessity, furnishing my first home on a tight budget, quickly became so much more. Furniture flipping turned into a creative outlet, a way to challenge myself, and eventually a path to share what I’ve learned with others. After years of flipping and a lot of people asking for guidance, I finally created The Furniture Flipping Academy. It is a complete, all-in-one resource for your entire furniture flipping journey.

This isn’t just a course. It includes everything you need to start, grow, and flip with confidence: templates, guides, a social media planner, a private community, and step-by-step instructions so you’re never guessing or second-guessing your next flip, AND SO MUCH MORE. Whether you’re just starting out or already flipping a few pieces, the Academy meets you where you are and grows with you, so you can focus on creating and flipping smarter, not harder.

I built it to be the resource I wished I had when I started, one place to learn, reference, and gain real confidence without trying to figure everything out on your own.

If furniture flipping has even crossed your mind, this is the easiest way to start, or level up, and I can’t wait to see you inside. Check it out HERE.
