I also use furniture salve on older wood pieces like decor, drawer boxes, and vintage furniture. It works great to hydrate and revive wood, but I avoid using it on anything I plan to eat from, just to be safe.

Start by wiping down the wooden bowls with a damp cloth to remove any dust or dirt. Then, use Howard Products Cutting Board Cleaner to clean the bowls. Avoid soaking them in water. When you are done cleaning them, wipe them dry with a towel and let them sit overnight.

Apply Howard Butcher Block Conditioner
Use a clean cloth to apply Howard Products Food Grade Mineral Oil. This product is food-safe and perfect for hydrating dry wood. Now, let it sit for 15–20 minutes so the wood can soak it in.

Let It Sit, Then Buff Again
Let the bowls sit overnight, then buff them again with a clean cloth to remove any excess product.
Results: Good as New!
