How To Clean A Paint Brush

February 9, 2018 5 Comments

If you do any kind of painting, I am going to share how to clean a paint brush with you today. We are doing all kinds of projects around here all the time and I love discovering new products that will help us get the jobs done faster, easier and/or more efficiently. Painting is a constant project around here. If we aren’t painting furniture pieces and other smaller projects, we are painting walls and houses to flip.

In the past, many paint brushes would get ruined because they weren’t thoroughly cleaned. I thought I was doing a great job and getting all of the paint out, but the next day, would find out that wasn’t the case. It was so frustrating!!!! Paint brushes aren’t cheap so I would get really bummed when we would have to throw them out.

There had to be a better way and I was bound and determined to find it. I did.

Guess what?! I found it! I found out how to clean a paint brush the easy way. Since I have done this, I have never had to throw out a paint brush.

Fusion Brush Soap has been a game changer for the paint brushes in our DIY toolbox and is a product we have on hand at all times.

Not only does this clean your brushes right after you paint, but I have found that I am able to clean brushes that have stiff bristles because the paint wasn’t cleaned out all the way.

To be honest, when I first saw this stuff, I didn’t think it would work. I didn’t try it for a while and then one day, I had a few brushes that I wanted to clean and pulled it out. At first, I didn’t know how to use it best because it is like a tube of toothpaste. The cleaner inside is like a real thick gel.

After trial and error, I found the best way for me to use it.

I just squeeze some of the soap onto my brush and massage it in with my hands. The best part is that the brush soap is like putting on hand cream and it is safe to use. I work the soap into all of the bristles really well and then I keep massaging it in under warm water at the sink. Every time, I am amazed with how much paint comes out of the brush with this stuff.

After the Fusion Brush Soap  got paint out of brushes that had already dried, I was really hooked.

Since using the Fusion Brush Soap, I have not turned back AND I am not afraid of ruining my favorite paint brushes anymore. This soap takes care of them so well.

Now, I am obsessed with cleaning the paint brushes after a project. Not sure that is a good thing because it is extra work for me, but I love seeing this stuff work so I don’t mind it. It is a little weird I am obsessed with it, but it is so satisfying when you find something that works so well. It makes you look forward to tedious tasks like cleaning your paint brushes.

If you have struggled to find a way to really clean your paint brushes, look no further. Get some of the Fusion Brush Soap in your painting supplies and you will not struggle anymore.

Good to know. Thanks! I’ve thrown away too many paint brushes. And you’re right, they aren’t cheap!
