You can go rustic with scrap wood, paint little wooden peg dolls to look like Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds, or pull out the clay and sculpt a simple manger set. If you’re into clean and modern decor, try cutting out nativity silhouettes from cardstock or thin plywood, so simple but so striking!
If you have kids or grandkids, you could even make a soft nativity set from felt or fabric so they can play with it all season without worrying about anything breaking. This is such a sweet way to teach them the Christmas story while giving them something hands-on and special.
Christmas can feel so busy, and sitting down to make something meaningful is one of my favorite ways to slow it all down. These DIY Nativity Set Ideas are perfect for creating a tradition you’ll bring out year after year.
