$5 Ethan Allen Table Makeover

2 Mins read

This $5 Ethan Allen table makeover is the easiest DIY project I have done in a long time!

Easy transformations are the best because not only do I get the thrill of hunting for the piece, but when I find something that only needs a coat of paint, the project itself doesn’t take a lot of thought, time, or energy.

Is there anything better?

This $5 Ethan Allen Table Makeover was such an easy project and it made the biggest difference in an otherwise boring table.

Supplies Used In This $5 Ethan Allen Table Makeover:

“Collard Greens” Chalk Mineral Paint

Zibra Paint Brush

Here is my YouTube video sharing how I painted this table and another great find I found at the thrift store that day.

Not all DIY projects have to be hard. They don’t have to be time-consuming and you don’t have to have a ton of mastery tool skills to do some of them.

Paint Makes The Biggest Difference For The Least Amount Of Money

We started our DIY journey with paint. The paint was inexpensive and gave an instant new look without a ton of work. We painted anything and everything we could to make it fit our style and our home. We only picked up items that needed paint. That’s it. If a project needed anything else, we didn’t pick it up.

Over time, we found more and more great deals, but the pieces needed a little more work. We decided to give them a try.

We dove in headfirst and taught ourselves everything we could. What we had a hard time with, my dad would come over and help us out. He taught us a lot, but most of what we have learned from smaller, home decor DIY projects was from trial and error.

I always tell people who are scared to try projects, to start with paint. Just paint. Find pieces that can be totally transformed with paint alone. You will get instant gratification and you will also gain so much confidence in doing projects that you will only want to continue and learn more about other ways you can makeover pieces for your home.

Final

This table took two coats of paint to cover it completely and it was ready for it’s final photos.

Small Tables Are Perfect For Any Size Room

I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep this table, but I do love how small it is and how well it fits in our living room. We needed some kind of table for setting drinks and such on this side of the sofa and this one fits well. It doesn’t take up any space in the room really and it functions for what we needed there.

If you take anything away from this project, I hope it is an inspiration to try an easy project like this. YOU CAN DO THIS! Give it a try. Look around your home. Is there a piece in your home that you don’t love anymore, but it may look totally different with some paint? Paint it! Try the project. I am cheering you on and have shared a lot of projects, tips, and tricks that will make it a huge success.

I would love to see it when you are done! Tag me on Instagram when you share it and I will be there to applaud your work!
