Today, we are talking about Mid Century Modern lighting. This style is so popular, and we got to work with this style recently in our last flip house.
If you have been following my content here or on social or YouTube for a while, you know that Matt and I have flipped houses over the past few years. The last one that we just completed was stuck in the 1960s when it was built. Everything from the light fixtures to the contents inside was not changed from the 1960s/1970s. We found everything from jewelry to antiques. From original Nike track shoes from the 1980s to mid-century furniture brought over from London. It was the most fun treasure hunt. I added mid century modern lighting options for different areas. Wall sconces, outdoor lighting, small, larger. etc. These are the lights that we have usually had to replace in our flip house projects, so I wanted to make sure I included some great options for each. I think MCM decor and lighting are so fun, and when you have a project or are leaning towards that design for your own home, there are many great options out there.
